The Din Dryfol Burial Chamber was erected during the Neolithic period for the communal burial of the dead. Excavations indicated that there were several structural phases at this site. The 10 foot tall stone marks the entrance to the burial chamber of which only the innermost segment survives. The whole structure, which consisted of three chambers joined together, was originally covered by a mound of stones. The capstone, which has collapsed, is 10 feet high and five feet wide.
