At first glance, Plas Newydd looks like two tombs, one large, one small, each with a separate capstone.

One observer claims that the smaller structure is now believed to be an antechamber or passage way to the larger chamber. The main part of the tomb itself consists of six uprights supporting a large 3+ foot thick capstone. Another observer claims that there are actually two tombs.
